Would You Bet Your Life?

My response to a post Original poster’s logic makes no sense; how can you tie someone’s idea on the possibility of something to his finances? That’s ridicoluous. His well-being depends on his finances, and if there is an iota of possibility that he could lose that, he will not take that bet. He has nothing to gain for the immense risk he is taking either. [..] finance call[s] unforseen events a Black Swan; they protect themselves from it by gambling with a portion of their money, minimizing against the possibility of losing their shirt if things go south.
